Lots of knowledge was gained today at our Summer Reading program! We started by reading the book "Oh Say Can You Say What's the Weather Today?" by Tish Rabe. Then we were lucky to have Katie Steiner from KHQ in Spokane come down and visit with us and teach us about the WEATHER! The kiddos were able to participate in learning about the water cycle and high and low pressure. Lots of participation, learning, and fun were had by all! Thanks Katie!

Our next Book Club will be held:
August 21 @ 7 PM.
We will be discussing the book:
"The Lace Reader" by Brunonia Barry

Our Summer Reading program this week was great! It was a group effort reading the book "The Best Bug Parade" by Stuart J. Murphy. Then we were lucky enough to have Steve Vanvleet from WSU come and talk about insects with us. The kids loved him and all his creepy crawly friends. We all learned a lot and even the parents were very interested and asking lots of questions. It was a great evening and each child was even able to go home with a gummy bug, toy bug, and a couple REAL LIVE mealworms! Yay for insect science!!!

Thanks Kristin Mory Bammes for filling in with our Summer Reading program this last week!
Looks like there were some great kiddos and fun bubble activities.
The bubble art looks beautiful and the bubble snakes look fun! Sad I missed it.

Decorated Kiddie Bike Parade!

We had an amazing turn out for our 4th of July Decorated Kiddie Bike Parade!
The kidlets were so cute and so excited to have their own special thing to be part of.
Lots of great decorations and cutie-patootie smiley faces!  :)

Chemical Reactions and Explosions!

We had some fun guest presenters from the Palouse Discovery Science Center today.  Some great messes were made and sunshine enjoyed all as we learned about chemical reactions.  Thank you to Tiffany and Jenna for sharing this fun with our library kiddos!
